Quick Start

New to QuickSift? Here’s the fastest path to your first export:

Download & install

Grab the installer for Windows or macOS. No dependencies required.

Point to a folder

Click Browse to pick your project directory, then Search to load the file tree.

Select files

Check files and folders in the tree. Use the Ext dropdown (.py, .js, etc.) to filter by type.

Export

Hit Export to copy files out, or Copy to Clipboard to paste directly into your AI assistant.

Privacy Policy

At QuickSift.io, we believe that "Privacy by Design" is the best way to build software. QuickSift is available in two tiers, and our privacy commitments apply to both.

Privacy Highlights

Standard — Fully Local: Your files never leave your machine. The only internet connection is license validation.
Pro — Encrypted Cloud Bridge: When you opt in to Cloud Bridge, files are encrypted on your device before transfer. The bridge service never sees your code.
Minimal Data Collection: We only collect what is needed to sell you a license and provide support.

1. Information We Collect

We only collect the minimum information required to sell you a license and provide support:

Customer Data: Your name and email address (provided during checkout).
Transaction Data: Records of your purchase, including the date and amount.
Correspondence: Emails sent to our support address.

2. License Validation

QuickSift requires a periodic internet connection for the sole purpose of License Validation.

What is sent: The app sends your license key and a non-identifiable hardware "fingerprint" to our server.
Purpose: This ensures the software is being used according to your purchase terms and prevents unauthorized distribution.
What is NOT sent: No personal files, metadata, or information about the tasks you are performing in the app are ever transmitted during this check.

3. Cloud Bridge (Pro Tier Only)

QuickSift Pro includes the Cloud Bridge feature, which enables encrypted two-way file transfer between your desktop and Claude. Cloud Bridge is entirely opt-in — you control when to start and end sessions. When Cloud Bridge is not active, QuickSift Pro operates identically to Standard.

How Cloud Bridge works:

On-Device Encryption: All files are encrypted on your machine using per-session Fernet (AES-128-CBC with HMAC) encryption before leaving your device. A unique encryption key is generated for each session.
Direct Transfer: Encrypted files transfer directly between your machine and secure cloud storage (Digital Ocean Spaces) via time-limited presigned URLs. The bridge coordinator service manages sessions and encryption keys only — it never sees, stores, or processes your file contents.
Encrypted at Rest: Files are stored encrypted in temporary, session-scoped cloud storage. Even in the unlikely event of unauthorized access to storage, your files cannot be read without the session encryption key.
Automatic Cleanup: When your session ends, all associated files are automatically deleted from cloud storage. No data persists between sessions.

What the Bridge service can see:

Session metadata (session ID, timestamps, file names and paths)
Your license key and machine identifier (for Pro tier validation)

What the Bridge service cannot see:

The contents of your files (encrypted before leaving your device)
Your code, data, or any information within the files you transfer

4. Payment Processing (Stripe)

All payments are handled securely by Stripe.

QuickSift.io does not store or have access to your credit card number, expiry date, or CVV.
Stripe's use of your personal information is governed by their Privacy Policy.

5. Third-Party Service Providers

We do not sell or rent your data. We use a limited number of service providers to help run the business:

Stripe: For payment processing.
Postmark: To deliver your license key and receipts.
Digital Ocean: For encrypted cloud storage and bridge coordination (Cloud Bridge, Pro tier only). Files are encrypted before reaching Digital Ocean infrastructure.

6. Data Retention and PIPEDA Compliance

In accordance with the Canadian Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA):

Access & Correction: You may contact us at any time to see what information we have (usually just your email and purchase history) or to request corrections.
Data Security: We use industry-standard encryption to protect the small amount of customer data we do hold. Cloud Bridge files are protected with AES-128-CBC encryption.
Location: While we are based in Canada, our service providers (like Stripe and Digital Ocean) may process data in the United States.

Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using QuickSift, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the software.

2. License Grant

Upon purchase, RobottWorks Ltd. grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use QuickSift (Standard or Pro, as purchased) on up to three (3) computers that you own or control, subject to these Terms.

3. Free Trial

QuickSift offers a 14-day free trial with full functionality. After the trial period, a valid license key is required to continue using the software.

4. Cloud Bridge (Pro Tier)

QuickSift Pro includes access to the Cloud Bridge service. Your Pro license includes one (1) year of Cloud Bridge access from the date of purchase. Continued Cloud Bridge access after the first year requires an annual renewal fee of $19 USD. If not renewed, your Pro license remains valid for all other features; only Cloud Bridge access is suspended.

5. Restrictions

You may not:

Redistribute, sell, lease, or sublicense QuickSift
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software
Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels
Use the software for any unlawful purpose
Share your license key with others

6. Updates

Your license includes free updates for one (1) year from the date of purchase. After this period, you may continue using your current version indefinitely or purchase an update extension.

7. Refunds

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied with QuickSift, contact service@robottworks.com within 30 days of purchase for a full refund.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

QuickSift is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that the software will be error-free or uninterrupted.

9. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall RobottWorks Ltd. be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use QuickSift.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of QuickSift after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

End User License Agreement (EULA)

IMPORTANT: READ CAREFULLY

This End User License Agreement ("Agreement") is a legal agreement between you and RobottWorks Ltd. for the QuickSift software application.

1. License Grant

Subject to the terms of this Agreement, RobottWorks Ltd. grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:

Install and use QuickSift on up to three (3) computers
Make one backup copy for archival purposes
Receive software updates for one year from purchase date

2. Ownership

QuickSift is licensed, not sold. RobottWorks Ltd. retains all right, title, and interest in and to the software, including all intellectual property rights.

3. Restrictions

You shall not:

Copy, modify, or distribute the software except as expressly permitted
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software
Rent, lease, lend, sell, or sublicense the software
Use the software to develop competing products
Remove any proprietary notices or labels
Transfer your license to another party

4. Activation

QuickSift requires activation with a valid license key. Each license key may be activated on a maximum of three (3) devices. Activations can be managed through our support team.

5. Term and Termination

This license is effective until terminated. It will terminate automatically if you fail to comply with any term of this Agreement. Upon termination, you must destroy all copies of QuickSift.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT.

7. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL ROBOTTWORKS LTD. BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES WHATSOEVER ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE.

8. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

9. Entire Agreement

This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and RobottWorks Ltd. regarding QuickSift and supersedes all prior agreements and understandings.
